勒內·吉拉爾（Rene Girard），法國當代著名哲學家、人類學家，1923年12月25日出生於法國東南部阿維尼翁，1947年移居美國，於印第安那大學取得博士學位，1981-1996年間任教於美國斯坦福大学。

吉拉爾的主要著作為四部 系列 論著：《浪漫的謊言與小說的真實》、《暴力與神聖》、《論 世界 創立以來的隱蔽事物》、《替罪羊》。
